Yoga and Yoga Therapy for Well Being

Judith Davis Minded Yoga

💝THE GIFT OF UP TO ONE YEAR OF FREE YOGA PSYCHOTHERAPY….💝

Welcome to the New Year and all its potential for change and new beginnings.

I begin each year with the offer of a gift of up to 12 months of free Yoga Psychotherapy sessions for one client.  If you feel challenged either physically or mentally and would like to work on releasing patterns of thought or behaviour, or shift/reduce tension in the body or mind then I might be able to help you.

INTEGRATIVE YOGA PSYCHOTHERAPY

I have nearly completed my three year Masters level training as an Integrative Yoga Psychotherapist. This involves deep somatic work, movement, yoga, breathwork and mindfulness alongside reflective verbal discussion to bring about long term healing.  The practices integrate mind, body and spirit, understanding that no one part of us, mentally, physically or spiritually works alone.

I qualified as a Yoga Therapist with The Minded Institute, London in 2014 and since then have practiced as a somatic yoga therapist supporting healing and bringing relief to clients with both mental and physical challenges such as:

  • Stress
  • Anxiety & Depression
  • Low Self Esteem
  • Insomnia
  • Chronic Pain including Back Pain
  • Cancer Recovery
  • Auto-Immune Disorders
  • PTSD
  • Trauma
  • Living in/with a challenging life situation

HOW DOES IT WORK?

I work closely with clients using practices and techniques to encourage improvement in quality of life, helping them to find joy where there may previously have been emotional and/or physical pain or challenges.  My approach is client led and respects the fact that everyone is unique. It combines physical practices, verbal reflective enquiry, breathwork, and mindfulness-based interventions, all drawn from the ancient teachings of yoga alongside contemporary scientific research, medicine and knowledge.

I am fully insured, DBS registered and an accredited member of the National Council of Integrative Psychotherapists (NCIP)

FREE THERAPY SESSIONS

In my clinical practice each year I offer a “pro-bono” weekly therapy session to one client for up to a year and this placement is now available for the 12 months from January 2026.  If this is potentially of interest please call for a free 15 minute  telephone consultation to hear more about my work and understand if it might help you personally. THIS PLACEMENT HAS NOW BEEN FILLED. PLEASE EMAIL ME IF YOU MIGHT BE INTERESTED IN THERAPY FOR THE YEAR COMMENCING JANUARY 2027

Some of you may have already worked on trauma in your life and used talking therapy.  This can work well, however sometimes the trauma remains in many hidden ways, held deep within our body.  Whilst Yoga Psychotherapy uses the spoken word, much of it is enquiring into the body, asking it what it can tell us about the tension and pain it holds and then easing it into releasing.  Freeing our body can deeply support us to free our mind from patterns of thought and behaviour …. Using the breath and movement to bring a sense of release and freedom.  The brain is plastic and can change right up until the day we leave our body … and this is a powerful, especially when we believe that we cannot or it is too late to change. It is never too late and I have seen many people “undo” negative, unhelpful beliefs and go on to lead more fulfilling and more joyful lives and above all, feel a sense of deep internal freedom.

I am passionate about my work to help people through life’s challenges. I know that we are all capable of much more than we believe and the power to change lies solely in our hands ….

If you are interested in working with me to become the best possible version of yourself then please give me a call or reply to this email ….

Meanwhile here are a couple of testimonials from people I have worked with:

“Integrative Yoga Psychotherapy with Judith has been like the missing piece of the puzzle for me. I have experienced several types of talking therapy previously, all of which felt helpful in different ways. Yet, I was still finding that unhelpful patterns showed up in my mind and life. I also felt like my life could be something of pinball machine where I ricocheted between the calm and clarity to old patterns of avoidance and distraction that have been a challenge since my teenage years. The IYP sessions with Judith have helped me to understand some of things that created these patterns and to do deep healing work with the parts of myself that were still hurting. On the rare occasions that these patterns show up now, I meet them with compassion, care, and curiosity, which has proved to be a much more effective response! I feel like IYP has been an “integration” on all levels – mind, body, energy and spirit. I would highly recommend it.”

“I came to Judith struggling with depression, anxiety, chronic fatigue and obsessive thoughts. I was a complete mess and everyday a roller coaster of emotions. I can honestly say that Judith has helped me tremendously. Over the months Judith has introduced several short yoga practices which I now do twice everyday. She has taken time to explain how maintaining a regular yoga practice will help rewire my brain into a more stable, calmer and positive mind set. I was sceptical at first, having been locked in a horrid cycle for so long. However, I have stuck to it and I can now really see the benefits. My ups and downs so far have been less severe. I feel calmer and able to cope with my emotions more effectively. I feel that I now have something that is just for me – my yoga practice. I look forward to doing it each day”.   FC Lyme Regis

I look forward to hearing from you… Namaste!
