LETS PUT A SPRING IN OUR STEP!! NEW YOGA CLASSES wef 19th FEBRUARY 2024

Hello yogi friends!

At last spring in the air, the sap is rising and there is a new contagious energy breaking through!

As you know, along with yoga, I am passionate about gardens and nature. For me, the Mud Maiden at The Lost Gardens of Heligan embodies the natural world, grace and inner peace. She encapsulates the sense of how we cosy down in winter; hibernate and turn our focus inwards; processing, resting, restoring, conserving, and, above all, nurturing ourselves ready to prepare for what is to come.

The beautiful brighter skies, the snowdrops with all their prettiness, blossom waiting to burst and some warmth in the sun all heralds the arrival of the new season.   The bursting seeds and buds all turn their heads towards the warmth and light. We can learn so much from our wonderful natural world. It flows effortlessly through the seasons…. quietly and with acceptance.

“Turn your face to the sun, and the shadows will fall behind you!”

So our next Half Term of classes starts on Monday 19th February when we will begin to raise the energetic sap in our beautiful bodies and bring new life and vigour into our world.

In the General Sessions we will explore a different layer of ourselves each week, (the Koshas) as well as integrating hip opening asana into our new sequence of postures. As you know, I focus on a new set of postures each half term so we can build on the strength of the muscles and after a few weeks flow through the postures with more ease, allowing us to let go of learning new postures and dig deeper into the yogi philosophy and ultimately be curious about our inner selves; our unique patterns of thought and behaviour.

“Beginners Classes” on Tuesday mornings at 7.45am-8.45am and “Yoga to Soothe the Busy Mind” on Wednesdays with a new tool to quell the anxious mind each week and a recording will also continue as before.
